GSK Global Media Splits Into GroupM and PHD

LONDON – GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare(葛兰素史克) announced today that it has appointed GroupM and OMG as its two global media investment management partners with Dentsu buying in Japan. 【备注:GSK Consumer Healthcare主要产品/品牌包括:芬必得Fenbid、百多邦Bactroban、新康泰克CONTAT、葡萄适Lucozade、舒适达Sensodyne、保丽净Polident、必理通Panadol】 GSK spends around $1.6bIn on media globally, and formerly worked with Starcom MediaVest Group, PHD, MediaCom and Carat. The appointments follow a full capability review of services conducted in collaboration with all GSK's current major media partners. The agencies will have responsibility for media strategy, planning and buying. OMG and GroupM will share responsibilities for global category-planning for Consumer Healthcare located in London, Parsippany and Singapore.  PHD will manage the geographies in North America and West Africa, while GroupM will manage the rest of the world. Both, Dentsu and GroupM will manage the Japan business.  “The decision to consolidate our media investment with two network partners – GroupM and OMG, with Dentsu buying in Japan, is based on various factors including simplicity and speedier deployment of best practices.  We believe this sets us up with a fit for purpose media system into the future. “We continue to hold the outgoing agencies, Starcom and Carat, in the highest of regard.
