EXCLUSIVE: Master Kong Splits China Media Into Two Firms

BEIJING- Source revealled to MadisonBoom that, Master Kong(康师傅) recently had concluded its comprehensive media review, and eventually splitted that business into two 4A media firms- Carat (凯络媒体) and GroupM. OMD had also been invited into the pitch. Carat has been long-term media partner to Master Kong in mainland China in last nine years, and will continue responsible for media planning and buying duties for all instant noodle products and cakes, while GroupM will handle the media planning and buying assignments for its drinks products (纯净水、绿茶、乌龙茶、果汁饮料) Master Kong is the market leader in China with annual sales volume of around RMB 60 billion.
