Shanghai - Edelman has made a slew of senior appointments in China in a bid to further expand its presence its business in the country. Sanjay Nair, Asia Pacific technology practice director, will relocate from Singapore to Shanghai. He will report to David Brain, president and CEO, Asia Pacific on regional matters and Thomas Mattia, chairman, Edelman China on matters related to China. Onie Chu(朱俊美)has been named Asia Pacific consumer practice director and will be responsible for overseeing and expanding Edelman's consumer practice in Asia Pacific. Chu will be based in Shanghai and also report to Brain and Mattia. Tony Tao（陶郁民） will take on management of Edelman's Guangzhou office from Chu in an expanded role of managing director for both Shanghai and Guangzhou offices. Brain said the appointments will further advance Edelman's regional collaboration and strengthen the agency's client capabilities in Asia Pacific.
